Philosophy

My goal is to provide high quality child care and establish a partnership with my child care children and their families. I believe that child care begins with good communication between the child care provider and the parents. I want the children to feel like this is a place they can come to have fun yet learn in the process. We want them to feel like they are come to a family members house.

Years in Business

I have been in the home child care business since November 2001. I got my home I State license in February 2002.

Experience/Training/History

I spent most of my teen years caring for children. I did not matter who's home I was at, all the children on the block would come over to play. I started as a nanny my Junior year in high school and continued into college for 5 years. I continued to watch two families children until my oldest child was born in June 1996.

About Me

I have been married to my husband John since September 25, 1993.We have 4 children (Claire 10, Patrick 7, Jessica, 5, Joshua 2) and two dogs Bailey and Angel. I am a soccer coach for both my daughter's soccer team and my son's soccer team at the west YMCA. I also coach my daughter's summer softball teams. I am very active in my children's schools and education. Patrick is involved with Boy Scouts and I enjoy going on the outings and camping with him. I am also the Pack's popcorn Kernel. Jessica is also involved in scouts and I will be helping with her troop.

I enjoy playing sand volleyball, gardening and scrapbooking. John and I enjoy attending away Nebraska football games with friends.

In August of 2005 I attended class at University of Northern Iowa for Playground Safety. I also took the test to be certified in playground safety. This is a certificate I must keep current. I will be going out and doing in-service's for other providers and child care's throughout eastern Nebraska.

Business Hours

Business hours are Monday through Sunday.
Each family’s hours are set individually.

Daily Schedule

We follow a basic schedule for meal and nap times. We try to play out side when it is nice out.

Curriculum Program

I encourage free play where they use their imagination. We have the Little People and Loving Family play sets along with several educational toys. We have a sandbox with 45 tons of sand and several toys to create sand sculptures. We also have many different climbing toys, swings and slides.

Policies & Enrollment Information

I have to have all paperwork filled out before the first day of care. I require a $75 non - refundable registration fee. I do accept drop - ins if I have room and all appropriate paperwork is filled out.
