Philosophy

It is my goal to make all of the children feel loved and special. I believe that positive reinforcement is a great way to encourage and teach the kids. I give plenty of verbal praise, and hugs are abundant as well! I take a more laid back approach to my childcare methods. We have a routine, but we try to be flexible and roll with the punches. Children appreciate routines, but I also know that those routines can vary from day to day. I feel that music and singing are very important, and both are a large part of our daily schedule here at Connie's Little Angels.

Experience/Training/History

I am a licensed childcare provider. I am trained and certified in both Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. I continue my education through various in-service opportunities and literature. I began working in the childcare business at "It's A Wonderful World" after I graduated from High School. I have since tried other lines of work, but I always find myself coming back to childcare. I love children and as a mother of two, I have a wealth of experience. I have learned patience and understanding, but most importantly, I have learned that no two children are alike. My goal is to learn as much as possible about each and every child in my care, so that I can give them the individualized care that they need. The children and I are learning beginning sign language together. I've found that it is VERY helpful in decreasing stress and frustration in the younger children who are not able to talk yet, and the older kids really enjoy learning and helping teach the babies.

About Me

I am a happily married mother of two wonderful boys. My first love is spending time with my children and teaching them new things. However, when I get to steal a moment alone, I really enjoy going on walks, scrapbooking, cooking, reading, or going for a nice run. I really like being outside, and with a park just across the street we spend a lot of time there when the weather is nice. Our family has a dog named Snickers, and two cats named Mocha and Barbie. All of our pets are extremely great with children, and they spend most of their time outside.

I also take part time families and do before and after school care.
