The Child Care Connection By-Laws
Group Name
Organization name will be: The Child Care Connection
Office Location
The office for this group will reside in Omaha, NE (Douglas County)
Non-Profit Status
The Child Care Connection was established as a non profit organization on March 15, 2005.
Organization Purpose
The purpose of The Child Care Connection is to offer in-service training hours for each
and every member, so they may maintain the minimum 12 clock hours required per year by the
State of Nebraska to maintain a State Child Care License. The Childcare Connection will
also offer aid in circulating referral leads to group members, and to lend support and
encouragement to providers and/or members.
Code of Ethics
The Child Care Connection will not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity religion,
gender, national origin, culture, disability, age, sexual preference, or for any other reason.
Fiscal Year
The Child Care Connection's fiscal year begins on January 1 and ends on December 31 each year.
Membership
Membership officially begins upon payment of dues and will expire on December 31 of that same year.
Membership dues will be pro-rated quarterly according to the date dues are paid. The schedule for
the pro-rated dues will be as follows:
January 1 - March 31 - $35.00
April 1 - June 30 - $26.25
July 1 - September 30 - $17.70
October 1 - December 31 - $8.75
Persons who have paid dues and are committed to uphold the goals and values of The Childcare Connection are considered to be in good standing.
Guests who are not members are welcome to attend meetings at a price of $5.00 per meeting.
Dues
Any changes made to membership dues will be determined by board members and group members present
at board meetings.
Refund Policy
Refunds of dues cannot be honored under any circumstances. Any past members who requested and
received refunds and left the group will not be permitted to rejoin.

Board Officer Elections
Elections of Childcare Connection Officers will be held a minimum of once every two years.
If a Board Officer position is vacated, nominations and/or volunteers will be taken at the
next scheduled meeting, and all members present at that meeting will vote on nominees. If
there are no volunteers to fill the open seat on the Board, remaining Officers will vote to
eliminate that position. The Board of Childcare Connection must consist of no less than
5 Officers.
Meetings
Monthly meetings will be held at Benson Baptist Church, 6319 Maple Street Omaha, Nebraska,
68104. Meetings will be held on the last Thursday of the month from 7 -9 PM. Any adjustments
will be communicated to the group in advance.
All board meetings will be held as needed and will be announced a minimum of one week
in advance. Board meeting times and locations will be posted on the web site for all
members to view.
The Childcare Connection Web Site
The Childcare Connection's web site address is: www.TheChildCareConnection.org.
The web site will be updated and maintained by a member in good standing.
(A member in good standing is any member who upholds The Childcare Connection's
goals and policies and is current on payment of membership dues.)
If said member decides to relinquish the task of maintaining the web site,
they must give a written notice of no less than ninety (90) days before relinquishing the
job. It will then be the group's responsibility to outsource the job either to another
member or to a 2nd party with the understanding that the later would likely require payment.
All graphics and information belonging to the group will be provided to the person in charge
of web site maintenance. Any and all programs and/or graphics personally owned by the person/s
providing maintenance remain their sole property and not the property of The Childcare Connection.
The Childcare Connection's Treasury
Any purchases over $100 will need to be approved by a majority vote of the board members.
A full record of The Childcare Connection's income and expenditures will be available at every
board meeting and upon request of any member in good standing with the group.
Guideline Review
Guidelines will be reviewed a minimum of once every 2 years; however changes can be made at any
time with a unanimous vote of the board. Any member in good standing can request changes at any
time.
